A bride’s sister accidentally showed the groom a video of his fiancée in her wedding dress before the wedding.
In aposton Reddit’s “Wedding Drama” forum, the guilty-feeling sister asked Redditors for sympathy. She explained that every year, she makes a video montage of highlights from the year to show her family and friends. This year, she made the mistake of including a clip of her sister trying on her wedding dress.
When the clip of the wedding dress appeared on the screen, the damage was irreversible.
“Everyone gasped,” the Redditor recalled. “Her fiancé looked so disappointed and squeezed his eyes shut.”

The bride’s sister insisted it was an accident.
“I would’ve never intentionally done this,” she said. “It was a terrible mistake. I feel so horrible, especially since this was on her birthday of all days.”
The bride is getting married in the spring, and is now unable to experience what was supposed to be a special moment of the groom seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time at their ceremony. Her sister feels terrible for spoiling what’s usually a special and highly anticipated moment between a couple getting married.
“Someone please make me feel better!” the poster urged Reddit users. “If you’ve had a similar experience, please share and lift my spirits. The guilt is killing me!”

“Nothing you can really do to fix this, beyond offering a sincere apology,” wrote one user.
Another commenter weighed in: “The silver lining here is that (1) she will look totally different on her wedding day and (2) the groom probably didn’t get good enough of a look to really remember it, so hopefully you didn’t ruin the moment when he’ll first see her on their wedding day.”
