When Catherine Uher saw that she had a large zit on her eyebrow just days before her engagement photos, her first thought was, “Of course!” and her second was, “Why is it so big? Why is it located there?”
Then, she picked up her phone to record a TikTok. “The devil couldn’t reach me so he gave me a zit the size of Manhattan under my mf eyebrow 1 week before my engagement photos,” a caption over the video read. “Are you kidding me,” she lamented to TikTok.

“Some of the suggestions on TikTok were to reschedule, but we had already done that once before due to a dress malfunction, and our photographer is very pregnant, so we had about a week to get everything done,” Uher explains to PEOPLE exclusively.
Luckily, Uher tells PEOPLE that “the zit did go away in time for the photos” thanks to “a lot of helpful suggestions from the ‘TikTok Aunties.’ ” She says people recommended everything from “drawing salve, icing it, applying antibiotic ointment, and leaving it alone.”

Uher, who is an optometrist, was also able to get in touch with a colleague in oculoplastics, and they were willing to inject it with cortisone to reduce the inflammation. In the end, she believes that the drawing salve worked wonders: “[The zit] looked so much better after two to three days of use!”
Uher says she “was very surprised about the response,” saying that “most if not all people were very helpful and funny.” She did admit that, before posting, she thought to herself, “If this doesn’t go viral, I don’t know what will.”

In the end, Uher and her fiance, Quinn, were able to do the photo shoot. “I was able to cover what was left of the blemish with eye makeup. The photographer didn’t even notice it and the pictures came out beautifully.”
Should other brides run into this kind of blemish along the way, Uher says, “I would tell all brides that, ultimately, it will be a funny story and everything will be okay. You’re there to marry the love of your life.” She adds, “I wouldn’t want anyone to feel like they aren’t beautiful just because of a blemish that can be removed afterward from the photos.”
