A bride began “crying in rage” after learning that the groom’s mother and sister have refused to change the color of their dresses, even though they’re the same color as her bridesmaids' gowns.
“We only got a virtual invitation with no indication about colors, we asked and they said [to] just not wear anything white-ish,” the groom’s sister explained. “My cousin, now a bridesmaid, was only asked to be a bridesmaid last week and only today she was told the dress color.”

When the bride learned of the dress color dilemma from the groom’s cousin, she immediately requested that the two women please change the colors of their dresses.
“I told my mom she’s not changing the dress and that I’m wearing the same color just in a different tone, but that it’s now too late for us to make any changes on the dress,” the poster wrote. “My brother texted in the family group just informing us about the bridesmaid color and to please not wear that (today), but I told him we already had the dresses and that it was too late for us to change.”
The groom’s sister argued that she had asked for any dress code regulations several times before and hadn’t been told anything about the bridesmaid dress color until now, so it was too late to do anything about it.
The groom “seemed to understand and said that it was fine.” But the bride didn’t feel the same way.

While “crying in rage” she called the groom’s cousin because she believed that the groom’s sister and mother were “trying to sabotage her wedding.”
“We also found out that only took the decision to ask them to be bridesmaid last week and one of them had already bought a dress — and as the other ones haven’t, she decided then that it was easier to ask the other two to wear the same color and ask my mom to change hers than ask her friend to wear the color she wants or something different,” the poster continued.

“So exhausting,” someone commented. “She’s trying to make OP (original poster) and mom jump through hoops to fix her own lack of organization. And blaming it all on them.”
“She needs to grow up. What does the bridesmaids' color matter?” one person wrote, with someone else adding, “Sigh, it’s a new trend: brides who put their aesthetic over people.”
