Brian Austin Greenis opening up about starting a new relationship in the middle of the ongoingnovel coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic.

The actor, 47,spoke with KTLAon Wednesday about datingDancing with the StarsproSharna Burgessand how being in lockdown helped them “connect” right away.

Green and Burgesshaven’t labeledtheir relationship yet, but the ballroom dancer, 35,shared a photo this week on Instagramof the pair kissing during their recent vacation to Hawaii.

“It was nothing that I was completely open to, I didn’t think at the time, but worked out pretty well,” Green said of starting a relationship. “It’s working out pretty well so far.”

Sharing what it’s been like dating amid the lockdowns in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Green said “doing any of that [dating] during the lockdown, the pandemic, is different.”

“But I think it helps people talk a little bit more and connect a little bit more because you don’t have the physical ways of doing it,” he said. “You don’t have places to go and other distractions. It helps focus the situation a little more, which I think was really helpful. And Sharna was completely open to it, and so was I, so it’s been a good situation so far.”

Green confirmed last May that he and estranged wifeMegan Foxhadsplit, and the actor filed for divorce in November. They share sonsNoah Shannon, 8,Bodhi Ransom, 6, andJourney River, 4.
