Brian Austin Greendoesn’t expect to be hearing back fromMachine Gun Kellyanytime soon after recently telling him tostop trying to “drag other people.”
While speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at theHollywood VirginLos Angeles Magazine Book Launch Party on Wednesday, Feb. 5, theBeverly Hills, 90210alum, 51, spoke about posting a screenshot of Kelly, 34, calling out an article abouthis previous relationshipwithMegan Fox, 38.
TheKnots Landingstar, who shares three children with his ex-wife Fox, has since told PEOPLE he hadn’t heard from Kelly after the post, and said he wasn’t expecting to.

“That’s not something that I normally do, but it just really at the time, really got under my skin to read about his sort of take on it,” Green tells PEOPLE at Wednesday’s event, which was held at The Abbey in West Hollywood, Calif., in support of the relief efforts of the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation (LAFDF).

“So I spoke my mind, but then I’ve since come to terms with the fact that I won’t do that anymore. I’m going to shut up and just sit back,” Green insists.
PEOPLE reached out to Kelly’s rep for comment on Green’s post on Monday, Feb. 3.

After the reporter alleged that Kelly was unfaithful to his former fiancée, Green responded, “How old is he? Do you know? He’s in his 30s. Nice … In your 30s, like — I don’t know. Grow up. She’s pregnant.”
“That’s a shame. That’s a shame. I’m heartbroken about it because I know she’s been so excited and the kids are so excited for life and the change and all of that,” he added.

As for Fox,a source told PEOPLElast month that she and Kelly “tried to make things work for many years,” adding, “It was exhausting for Megan.”
Fox reportedly hasn’t been speaking much to Kelly amid the end of their relationship.
