On Friday, Feb. 7, the truck pulled up just outside of the Eliza Jane Hotel on Magazine Street, just blocks away from the Caesars Superdome, where the Eagles are set to face off against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chef Danny, whose real name is Danny DiGiampietro, said in a statement shared with PEOPLE that he and Cooper “wanted to bring some Philly flavor to the fans in New Orleans” during the festivities.

“We saw a great opportunity to team up with Visa on it to celebrate our fellow small businesses who define incredible cities like this one,” DiGiampietro said.

Cooper first partnered with Angelo’s Pizzeria owner Danny DiGiampietro to open Danny and Coops Cheesesteaks in December 2023.

The Danny and Coops surprise appearance on Friday is also meant to celebrate the small businesses of New Orleans as a part of Visa’s Champions of Small Business Initiative. The company will be doing various good deeds for the small businesses around town throughout Super Bowl weekend, like throwing pop-up events and upgrading their payment technology.

Just days before the pop-up in New Orleans, Cooper made headlines for surprising LeBaron, an 8-year-old Eagles fanwho went viral in an MDMotivator video last month, with tickets to the big gamewhile appearing on theTodayshow Feb. 4.

LeBaron, who sufferers from systemic juvenile arthritis and spent much of his life in the hospital, captured the Internet’s collective heart late last month when the video was first posted. In it, Dereniowski offered him a choice of either $1,000 or a “Mystery Eagle” video. LeBaron chose the latter, which resulted in him getting the tickets.

Super Bowl LIX kicks off on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
