I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell

This isn’t the first time Pitt has been there for his late friend’s young kids. Just a month after Cornell’s death, Pitt was seen taking Toni and Chris to Universal Studios for a fun-packed theme park day. The rocker had been laid to rest just a few days before the outing.

“Brad loved Chris and of course will be there for his family,” a source told PEOPLE at the time.

Fans posted sightings of Pitt and the kids on social media throughout the day. They were spotted walking around Simpsons Land, sipping butterbeer from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and riding theJurassic Park-themed water coaster.

While Cornell’s death was ruled a suicide, his family has stated that they didn’t believe Cornell to be suicidal. The star’s wife Vicky said she believes thatthe side effects of the prescription drug Ativan— which can cause worsening depression and thoughts of self-harm in rare cases — may have impacted Cornell.
