The man accused ofpushing a woman onto a subway trackafter a “domestic dispute” Saturday morning has been charged with attempted murder and felony assault, the New York City Police Department says.

PIX 11reports that Valdez was arraigned and pleaded not guilty.

Police say the woman was transported to the hospital in stable condition, thoughNBC 4reports that she had both legs amputated as a result of the train strike, citing MTA sources.

No. 2 and No. 3 trains were delayed and rerouted as a result of the incident, the MTA previously said.
