Bethany Hamiltonis now a mom of three boys!
The surfer, 31,announced on Tuesdaythat she welcomed her third child, son Micah, with husband Adam Dirks on Valentine’s Day: Sunday, Feb. 14. Dirks shared the “big news” in aYouTube video, telling fans that Hamilton and the newborn are resting and their other boys — sons Tobias, 5, and Wesley, 2 — are both “excited.”
“Mama is happy and healthy. We are just so thankful that everything went really smooth!” he said in a statement on Hamilton’swebsite.

Another cute clip showed the family on a log that had a special message written on it. “Tobias + Wesley and ?” the message read.
Hamilton, who lost her left arm in a shark attack when she was 13 and was the subject of the 2011 movieSoul Surfer, spoke about being a working mom last year. “I just want them to appreciate the ocean and wave riding and hopefully be able to share that with them because I want to be surfing until I’m old,” she toldHawai’imagazine about her sons.
“Even though I do a lot, I also feel like I’m still a full-time mom,” she added at the time. “The only time they’re not with me is when I’m out in the ocean, pretty much. They just are a part of our life very thoroughly and just come along for the ride.”
In aFeb. 10 Instagram post, the athlete wrote that she was “literally counting down the days, maybe 6-8weeks or so, till I can get back on my board and surf!”
