A young brother and sister have been named heroes!
After Jamie Miller collapsed at their home in County Durham, England, Tyler called the emergency services while keeping his sister calm.

“Although I didn’t speak to Tyler directly, his actions recognizing his dad needed help and calling 999 were so brave and extremely mature,” dispatcher Laura Bloomfield said, per the NHS.
Arriving at the house, police and the ambulance found the father of two unconscious and barely breathing.

“When we got the job through, we were unsure of what we were going into as it was a child caller,” paramedic Annie O’Sullivan said in a statement. “I had a little chat with Tyler and asked him how long his daddy had been unwell and how he knew what to do if dad was poorly. He said that his dad had told him what to do.”
Dispatch development manager Laura Bloomfield also added: “Tyler’s actions recognizing his dad needed help and calling 999 were so brave and extremely mature.”

“I can imagine his family are immensely proud of his quick thinking and actions resulting in getting his dad the help he needed,” she added.
“I don’t think he realizes the importance of what he has done to the same extent as we do but he does in his own little way,” Tyler’s mother Samantha Turnbull stated, per Chronicle Live, as she opened up about her son’s Global Developmental Delay.
She added, “It would have been fatal without him. Everyone has made a massive fuss of him so he does know it was important. I am pleased he is getting some kind of recognition for what he did.”
“It puts things into perspective. We are all really proud,” the proud mom concluded.
