TheBohemian Rhapsodystar has scored a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury inBohemian Rhapsody, won the Golden Globe and has been lucky when it comes to finding love.

Malek, 37, confirmed his romance with his costarLucy Boyntonat the Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Film Awards Gala earlier this month with a sweet shoutout to the 24-year-old actress while accepting the award for breakthrough performance.

“Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, you are my love,” he said. “I appreciate you so much.”

Boynton plays Mary Austin in the film, Mercury’s former fiancée and lifelong confidant who inherited half of his estate when he died from complications of AIDS in 1991.

Austin was the inspiration behind the singer’s 1975 hit song “Love of My Life.”

While Malek just recently confirmed their relationship, the happy couple hasn’t shied away from hiding their romance.

In August, the two werespotted grabbing lunch together in Los Angeleswhile walking arm-in-arm. At one point, they shared a kiss while sitting next to each other while grabbing food.

The duo was also seen together in May at a U2 concert in Los Angeles.

The biopic, which was originally released in November,follows the trajectoryof Mercury and his bandmates Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon until the band’s performance at Live Aid in 1985 — six years before the singer’s death.

Malek won the Golden Globe for best actor in a drama motion picture earlier this month. He was also nominated for best male actor in a leading role at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards which air this Sunday on CBS.
