A woman whose remains were found in a freezer inside a home in San Diego, Calif., has been identified the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) announced ina statement on Thursday.

The SDPD originally responded to a call made from the residence just before noon on Dec. 22. Out-of-town family members of the people who currently live in the home had found the remains inside of a chest freezer. They called the police immediately.
