A second body has been found near where two sisterswent missing in Scotlandin early January after going on a night walk.
The discovery came on Friday, Jan. 31,after police announced they’ddiscovered remainsthey believe belonged to Henrietta Huszti, 32. Now investigators believe they’ve found the remains of Eliza Huszti, 32, as well.
According to astatementfrom Scotland Police, officers discovered the body in the River Dee in an area of the river near to the Victoria Bridge around 9:00 p.m. local time in the city of Aberdeen. Although the woman has not been officially identified, police wrote that “the family of Eliza Huszti…who had been reported missing in the area on Tuesday, [Jan. 7], has been informed.”
“Our thoughts remain with the Huszti family and we are keeping them fully updated following these recoveries,” Police Superintendent David Howieson added in the statement. “We know how much of an impact this has had in Aberdeen and much further afield and I would like to thank everyone who has assisted with our investigation.”
Police added that officers are still investigating, but “there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”

At the time of the discovery, police reiterated that although their investigation remained ongoing, there was “nothing to suggest any suspicious circumstances or criminality.”
“Our thoughts are with the Huszti family today. We are keeping them fully updated following this recovery and the further search activity which is ongoing,” Howieson said at the time, adding that they remained focused on “finding both sisters.”
The news came days after Howieson said that searchessurrounding the River Dee and Harbour area had come to an end.
“Extensive and detailed searches have been carried out of the River Dee and the Harbour area, using local and national specialist police resources, including the dive and marine unit, police dogs and air support, and those of partner agencies,” the officer said at the time.
However, after the first body was found, police said that they would be focusing on searching the River Dee “in the coming days.”
Per theBBC, the Victoria Bridge and Queen Elizabeth Bridge, where the first body was recovered, are about half a mile apart.
