A Colorado snowboarder who disappeared two weeks ago amid a snowstorm has been found dead, authorities said.
The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and the Eagle County Coroner’s Office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
Gill was last seen heading toward the Avanti route on Vail Mountain and boarding a chairlift shortly before 9:00 a.m. local time on Friday, Feb. 14.
The ski patrol, Vail Mountain Rescue team, Vail Police Department and Vail Communication Center were among the agencies who assisted in an exhaustive two-week search for Gill, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
Several inches of snow fell after Gill’s disappearance, which complicated search and rescue efforts, according toVail Daily.
