The body of a 17-year-old who went missing while swimming at Jensen Beach in Florida on Monday has been found, according to theMartin County Sheriff’s Office.
Local news outletWESHreported that Nick Alincy was going for an “early morning swim” on Monday after taking pictures with his girlfriend on the beach when he got caught up in a rip current that dragged him out to sea. After a day of Marine Units, Aviation, Dive Teams, Patrol Deputies and Detectives searching for the missing teen, the sheriff’s office offered an update on theirFacebook page.
“Nick’s body was located about five miles south from where he was last seen in the water yesterday morning. We offer our deepest condolences to his loved ones,” the post read.
“We would like to thank all of our first responder partners, Martin County Fire Rescue, The US Coast Guard, Jupiter Island Police, FWC and all of the private vessel operators and citizens who worked tirelessly alongside of MCSO to help locate Nick and bring closure to his loved ones,” the post continued.

“Nick was always with a smile,” Ardeljan said. “He lit up the field whenever he stepped on it, would never leave without giving a hug and snapped his fingers after he gave his hug, and that was Nick. He was full of sunshine.”
“Even when he’s not coaching, he was helping out," Ardeljan shared.

The Soccer Club planned a vigil for Tuesday night in “celebration” of Alincy’s life, according to aFacebook post.
“Nick was a cherished member of our soccer family, and we believe it is essential to come together to honor his memory and provide support to his family and friends during this difficult time," the post read.
The statement continued, “In moments like this, the strength of our community shines, and together, we can provide comfort and support to those who need it most. Thank you for your understanding, compassion, and support. We hope to see you at the vigil tonight as we remember Nick and the impact he had on all of our lives.”
