The “Like a Rolling Stone” singer hasbeen on his Never Ending Tour since 1988, playing over 3,000 shows around the world.Since 2021, the tour has focused on songs from Dylan’s 2020 album,Rough and Rowdy Ways, with him and his band performing nearly every song from the record.
Over the summer, Dylan changed things up for theOutlaw Music Festival TouralongsideWillie Nelson. For those shows,Dylan’s setlistdropped most of theRough and Rowdy Wayssongs in favor of songs like “All Along the Watchtower” and “Things Have Changed.” He also tossed in surprising covers of blues classics andGrateful Deadsongs just to keep fans on their toes.
The spring 2025 shows will also be Dylan’s first since the successful release ofA Complete Unknown. Director James Mangold’s film featuresTimothée Chalametas Dylan and tracks his early years in New York City, leading up to the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.
A Complete Unknownscored eight Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Chalamet, 29, and Best Director for Mangold. Edward Norton and Monica Barbaro earned nominations for their supporting performances as Pete Seeger and Joan Baez, respectively.

Chalamet’s performance also earned praise from Dylan himself.
“There’s a movie about me opening soon calledA Complete Unknown(what a title!),“Dylan wrote on X in December. “Timothee Chalamet is starring in the lead role. Timmy’s a brilliant actor so I’m sure he’s going to be completely believable as me. Or a younger me. Or some other me.”
Dylan went on to advise his fans to read Elijah Wald’sDylan Goes Electric!, the book that Mangold and Jay Cocks’ Oscar-nominated script is based on. “It’s a fantastic retelling of events from the early ‘60s that led up to the fiasco at Newport,” Dylan wrote. “After you’ve seen the movie read the book.”
“Floored. I am so grateful,” Chalamet replied. “Thank you Bob.”
