“She and Ryan are in it together,” a source tells PEOPLE of the couple, who wed in 2012 and share four children. “They are always a tremendous team. They will get through this as a team too.”
Lively, 37, is “surprisingly calm” amid the firestorm of attention surrounding the legal action, adds the source, butshe “just tries to focus on family life.”
“She’s in constant contact with her team. She sees the whole lawsuit drama as a necessary bump, but she’s not letting it take away from her main focus, which is her children,” says the source.
In December, Lively sued her director-costar Baldoni, 41, accusing him of sexual harassment and for allegedly commissioning a retaliatory smear campaign, which he denies. That same month — before Baldoni countered with a $400 million lawsuit of his own against her and Reynolds — a source said Lively “believes she’s doing the right thing” and was “ready to tackle whatever comes her way” in the legal back and forth.

In December 2024,a source told PEOPLEthat Reynolds had been Lively’s “rock” in the wake of the complaint against Baldoni.
“Ryan is always her rock. They have such a special relationship. He’s very proud of her in so many ways,” the insider said at the time.
Lawyers from the opposing sides came face to face in court for the first time on Monday, Feb. 3 for a pre-trial hearing, where the judgewarned them to refrain from litigating the case in the public forum. Their trial is currently scheduled to be held in March 2026.

As part of Baldoni’s amended complaint filed last week, alleged text messages from Lively’s husband Reynolds came to light. In February 2023, theDeadpoolactor allegedly told Baldoni he was “excited” for Lively to work with him.
“Some of the greatest creative decisions ‘I’ve’ made are in fact Blake,” Reynolds wrote in the alleged text to Baldoni ahead of theIt Ends With Usproduction. “… More than anything, I rely on her taste. Far beyond movies, I [rely] on her taste for all aspects of my businesses.”
