The “Piano Man” will be stepping out for Music’s Biggest Night!
On Wednesday, the Recording Academy announced thatBilly Joel, 74, has been added to the performance lineup of the upcoming 2024Grammy Awards.
The music legend will take to the stage at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb. 4, along with the previously announced slate of A-list performers, includingBillie Eilish, Burna Boy,Dua Lipa,Luke Combs,Olivia RodrigoandTravis Scott.

The news comes shortly after the five-time Grammy winner announced the release of “Turn the Lights Back On,” hisfirst new single in over a decade.
“Turn the Lights Back On” marks the first new material from the singer-songwriter since 2007 — which is when he released “All My Life,” penned for then-wifeKatie Lee, and “Christmas in Fallujah” with musician Cass Dillon.

Aside from his 2007 singles, Joel had retired from songwriting after the release of his 1993 albumRiver of Dreams— only releasing a series of covers during his hiatus.

The song comes as the “We Didn’t Start the Fire” artist is in the midst ofwrapping up his legendary, decade-long residencyat New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The show will officially come to a close later this year when he plays his 150th lifetime show at the venue on July 25.

Additional performers for the 66th annual Grammy Awards are said to be announced at a later date.

Fans can tune into the ceremony as it airs live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on CBS and Paramount+ on Feb. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
