Ahead of Lola’s arrival, Burr toldBoston Magazinethat he was “excited” about having his first kid and that he “always wanted to be a dad.” After becoming a father, Burr confessed toNBC Newsin June 2017 that he used to “wake up in a panic" that he was “never gonna be a dad” because he was in his late 40s.
While fatherhood has admittedly made Burr a “better person,” it didn’t affect how he approached his adult animated seriesF Is For Family. Speaking to PEOPLE in 2018, the dad of two said, “That whole thing where you try to do like, ‘Oh I’m a dad now so now I have to pretend like I’m a decent human being; I’m going to start wearing sweaters and I’m going to stop cursing,’ ” noting, “I think it’s better to be who you are.”

Burr and Hill welcomed their daughter, Lola, in January 2017. Months after her birth, Burr toldNBC News, “I gotta say, I’m not getting a lot of material out of it because it’s been awesome."
In the same interview, the actor pointed out that he has friends in the business who put pictures of their kids on Facebook. However, he stated, “That’s not something I would do," adding that he wanted to keep his daughter and family life more private.
While he appears to avoid posting pictures of Lola on social media, he has opened up about his daughter on his podcast and in interviews. In February 2022, Burr revealed on hisMonday Morning Podcastthat he took Lola out on a skateboard for the first time, and she “took right to it.”
Lola is not only active, but she is also sneaky, trying to get to the bottom of famous lores. To that end, she once caught the tooth fairy (her dad) in action. Chatting withRick Glassmanin 2023, Burr recalled sneaking into his “daughter’s bedroom like a god—- prowler at four in the morning,” and she opened her eyes. “I had to be like ‘Oh I’m looking for my phone,’ ” he said.
Lola has helped her dad with his temper. Duringa 2022 stand up set, Burr revealed that whenever he started “flipping out” his daughter, who was around 4 ½ years old at the time, would help him stop. He explained, “[The] second I hear that cute voice I can’t. I just think ‘Dada, I sorry.’ ”
Burr went on to recall coming into the kitchen one day and voicing his frustration over a new toaster. He said, “All of a sudden she’ll just be like in the other room be like ‘Dad don’t scream like that,’ and the second I hear that voice, I’m like ‘You’re right buddy. You’re right buddy. Sorry!’ ”
In addition to cooling his famous temper, Burr has also become more sensitive to his family’s needs, he said. Because of his little girl, Burr changed a joke for hisPaper TigerNetflix special, tellingThe Wrapin 2019 that he had a different ending to his set up until right before they taped.
“I called an audible because the joke was about my daughter being born and me feeling some crazy feelings, and I just thought it would hurt her feelings if she ever saw it,” he said. “It was more my issue, but I was just worried she wouldn’t process it that way. And I would never want to hurt her, so I was just like, ‘I don’t need to do that.’ ”
Her taste in music seems to includeBeyoncé, too. Lola went to her very first concert in 2023 with her mom to see the singer. “Took my daughter to her first ever concert and who better for your first than Beyoncé!!” Hill captioned pictures and videos onInstagramfrom the outing. “My first ever concert was Michael Jackson so I had to continue the legacy 🫶🏾 a memory we will both cherish forever.”

Burr’s family grew in June 2020 with the birth of his son, whose name is not publicly known. He is a Gemini like both of his parents,per Hill.
Burr has described his son as a “smart” and “strong-minded kid.” On hisMonday Morning Podcastin May 2022, the dad of two shared that when his son gets “locked in” and wants to do something, “there’s only one way out, payola in the form of a cookie.”
A few days later, Burr revealed on hispodcastthat his son was learning how to swim. “Goes under the water for like two seconds and comes back up, and he’s all proud of himself,” Burr said. “He’s such a great kid. He really is.”
The comedian continued, “I have two of the best kids ever. Like everybody says how happy my kids are. I can’t even tell you how proud I am of that. They’re super happy. They know that they’re loved. They’re funny as hell. Adorable kids.”
