Dazzling in a blue sequin dress with coral reef designs and carrying a lobster bag — both of which she said she purchased on Facebook Marketplace — Hudson said she wants the message on the back of her bag to bring awareness to the plight of fishermen in her Maine hometown.

“I have a message that pays homage to my family and a message that I’d like to put out there and give a little bit of recognition to the fishermen in Maine,” Hudson said, showing how she customized her bag to spell out “Save Maine Fishermen” in black rhinestones.

Hudson explained that while the bills in Maine were passed “in the name of sustainability and environmental protection,” the policies failed to account for “the natural environment and human environment” and the elected officials “did not possess the essential knowledge base necessary to make informed decisions regarding the matter.”
