Bill Belichickis making moves this week.
Sources toldESPNandSIon Thursday, Dec. 5 — the same day that Belichick, 72, made hisred carpet debutwith 24-year-old girlfriendJordon Hudson— that the 72-year-old former NFL coach reportedly interviewed with the University of North Carolina’s Tar Heels for their head-coaching position.
According to ESPN, Belichick “wants to coach again” afterleaving his longtime roleas head coach of the New England Patriots, where he won six Super Bowl championships, in January.
The former NFL coach is also reportedly “open to listening to people at the college and NFL level” as he looks for a new gig, per ESPN’s report. He had hoped to join another NFL team prior to this season, but was unable to find a job in time.
The Tar Heels fired their head coach Mack Brown on Nov. 26 after six seasons with the university.
According to ESPN, North Carolina had been hoping to hire Arthur Smith, the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator who is a UNC alum, but Smith reportedly turned down the school’s offer because he wanted to stay in the NFL.

Belichick wore a classic black tux while Hudson coordinated in a black off-the-shoulder gown with high slit. Dangly earrings and strappy heels completed her elegant look.
After quickly posing for photos on the red carpet, the couple looked loved up during their outing. They enjoyed the complimentary pretzel and hot chocolate at the event, while Hudson rubbed Belichick’s back.

They were first rumored to be dating in early 2023 after Belichick split with his longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday, whom he dated for 16 years.
Though the couple had been spotted together numerous times, their relationship wasn’t confirmed until June 2024, withTMZfirst reporting the news.
A month later, Belichick and Hudson werephotographed riding bikestogether in Nantucket, Mass.
